I like the definition of rhetoric by group 3. I enjoy the comment on how "it is the art of argument used not to prove yourself right but others wrong". Isn't that a paradox on itself, I mean if you are proving others wrong, aren't you proving yourself right? It makes the idea of rhetoric seem like an art of confusion to forcibly subdue your readers into thinking you’re right, rather than persuasion.
I also enjoyed group number 4's definition. It centers around the fact that rhetoric is not a device to be used for one type of argument, but a fluid, amorphous idea that can be altered by perspective to "win" an audience.
